This is really cool! The trans fig can also be used for Tron figs, if
underlit...or if they were compatible with LEGO minifig parts, there could be a
Star Trek transporter effect done with a blinky light.

I actually built this figure. So I placed in the catagories where I thought
it belonged.

MOCs should not be placed in the “lugnet.announce” group, but just in the
“lugnet.announce.moc” group like you did. I’m afraid that I’m not seeing any
resemblance to Obi-wan, but that may just be because I don’t grok Star Wars Lego
much :^)
BTW, how was this made? What did you use for the molds? I’ve seen Lego bricks
used to make the walls of the mold when plastic modelers cast resin parts for
instance.

Adam Reed Tucker kindly allow me to use his buildings to show case my turtles.

Thanks, Bruce. I hope so too. I have another painting in mind, but some other
things rank first. Every year one painting seems to be enough to stay busy until
I will retire. ;-)

Another great painting recreation. I really love these. The attention to
detail here is really impressive, like that little box thing down at her feet,
the blue cuffs on her sleeves, etc. I hope you add more to this “paintings”

You don’t see many minifigs that come wearing a Dark Tan outfit. In fact I can
only think of 2...and what a pair they make!

NWBrickCon is pleased to present a new theme this year: Maxifigs.
The idea is simple. Take your favorite minifigure and build it at ten
times the normal size. For most minifigures this is pretty
straightforward: take the instructions for set 3723

This year at NWBrickCon there will be a prominently featured table in the
Expo Hall for Maxifigs. Let's see if we can fill a table or two with 'em!
After you've built your maxifig (but by October 4th, please) e-mail me so
I can ensure room. Any registered attendee of NWBrickCon 2007 is welcome
to display a maxifig.
A word of caution: making a maxifig in the style of 3723 is not terribly
hard, but it does take time and a goodly supply of brick. I urge anyone
interested in making one to start early so as to ensure plenty of time for
completion and, if necessary, additional materials---an experienced
builder can adapt the instructions for the legs and torso to use most any
2x brick, but head and hands show the Lego set designers' love of L-bricks
and L-plates, and some normal collections will require creative use of
existing materials. The arms (in the official instructions) require lots
of plates or time-consuming optimization.
NWBrickCon is a annual Lego convention and exposition in the Seattle Area.
NWBrickCon 2007 will be October 5, 6, and 7 at the Seattle Center
