Getting Started So you like Mecha? Or you enjoy the creations built and displayed here? Or you just like to read about what the participating members of this forum are doing? We welcome you. If you would like to join in, there are few things to learn about and set up so you can join in on the fun. First and foremost is to support LUGNET™ by becoming a Member (recommended). But you dont really need to be a member to have posting privileges. My hope and the hope of those people who helped create and maintain this wonderful resource for Lego Fans all across the world is that you will become a member and send the small membership fee in so you can enjoy even more of the tools and benefits available to you as a member. Posting Set Up. Become a Member. Sign up for a Brickshelf Gallery account or build a Web Site Brickshelf Gallery In order to start sharing your creations with others, youll need a place to put your images so others can see them. Consider signing up and getting an account on the Brickshelf Gallery. Brickshelf is a wonderful resource for Lego Fans around the world. Each night at midnight (EST), the gallery view counts update so you can see how many times the images of your creations were accessed. Create your own Web Site Consider building a Web Site. When you own and maintain your own Web Site the sky is the limit in terms of creativity and how you choose to show your creations. Common tools are available to track statistics, create limitless designs and place stories and explanations about your creations. Also, with advanced FTX skills, LUGNET™ Members can create their own web pages on LUGNET™. (note: LUGNET™ does not host image content, youll need an image host to link to and from your LEGO images.) MOCpages MOCpages is another great resource for Lego Fans. MOCpages is an easy and fast way to share your Lego creations online with simple built in tools that anyone can use. Its like building your very own Web Site that you can customize and choose how you want it to look. These are just some of the ways in which you can begin to share your creations online with other Mecha Builders and Lego Fans across the world. Building Mecha Mecha building is a fan created genre. It has its roots in using pieces and elements from many Original LEGO themes. What is Mecha? Read more about it here, but for now we will focus on getting started. If you have little or no experience in Lego Mecha building, there are some tools available to you.
