Thanks Bruce, it was fun to design and build. When I showed it to some of my
non-AFOL friends, one of them said, 'now lego is making chess sets'.

You've got me, but I'm actually Jim Foulds in drag (kidding, I flatter myself).
No, this really is my second MOC, but I have been putting sets together since
the 70's when I began collecting, and I have paid attention to what other
creators have done and learned in the process. My MOCs reflect the community
really, since I couldn't have come up with them without the inspiration and
examples from all the great builders here on line. And, without BF '03 and the
NCLUG folks, I would never have tried.
