Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Nathanael Kuipers
Hi. Another alternate. This time it's from 4896 Roaring Roadsters: (2 URLs) Folder> (when moderated) Nathanael (16 years ago, 25-May-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, FTX) !

(...) SNIP (...) Hey Nathanael!!! Holy cow, another awesome alternate! I'm blown away... yet again. I guess I'm going to need to start pestering you for building instructions and/or "exploded-view" pictures again so I can build it myself ;-) -Paul (16 years ago, 28-May-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Nathanael Kuipers
(...) Thanks Paul! No surprise to see a reaction from you. Nice to hear you like it, although I'm not completely satisfied with it myself. I think that after the almost 3 years that I worked for the LEGO company, my quality standards went up... Oh (...) (16 years ago, 28-May-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Paul S. D'Urbano
(...) It looks great in the pictures. I guess the creator of a work is often its harshest critic. I'm getting the feeling from things you've wrote that maybe you aren't working for LEGO anymore (?) (...) If it's no trouble, I'd be interested in a (...)          Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Nathanael Kuipers
(...) I guess you are right with both. As the creator I know all the flaws of the model. It's probably not as bad as it sounds and I have to say that the pictures came out better than expected. And indeed I'm not working at LEGO anymore. A new (...) (16 years ago, 29-May-08, to lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Anders Isaksson
(...) how is it holding together when playing?). No room for a motor inside, I suppose? (16 years ago, 28-May-08, to lugnet.build)

Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Nathanael Kuipers
(...) Thanks Anders. Even though it's not up to LEGO standards, in my opinion the model is holding together fairly well. Of course there are some weaker spots here and there, but that's in almost every model. Because the model is slightly bigger (...) (16 years ago, 29-May-08, to lugnet.build)

Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Anders Isaksson
(...) I'm in Eskilstuna (~1 hour from Stockholm). You're welcome to ping me if you want to visit! You're also welcome to lugnet.loc.se - it's not very active for the moment, but there is talk about a Lego meet sometime after the summer. You would (...)          Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Nathanael Kuipers
(...) Hi Anders! That sounds great! If the get together is somewhere in the neighbourhood (I live in Skövde now), I'm definitely interested. I'm originally from the Netherlands, so I might have some difficulties understanding the Swedish forum, but (...) (16 years ago, 30-May-08, to lugnet.build)

Re: Muscle car: 4896 alternate —Anders Isaksson
(...) :-) My parents were born in Tibro and Hjo, so I'm quite acquainted with the neighbourhood (Skövde is just two or three stops away on the railroad from Eskilstuna). What's your line of work? Why would a Netherlander stop in Skövde of all (...) (16 years ago, 30-May-08, to lugnet.build)
