Hey Nathanael!!!
Holy cow, another awesome alternate! Im blown away... yet again. I guess Im
going to need to start pestering you for building instructions and/or
exploded-view pictures again so I can build it myself ;-)

Thanks Paul!
No surprise to see a reaction from you. Nice to hear you like it, although Im
not completely satisfied with it myself. I think that after the almost 3 years
that I worked for the LEGO company, my quality standards went up...
Oh well, as long as it inspires others, I shouldnt complain I guess.
I see what I can do for you, if youre still interested...

Thanks Anders. Even though it's not up to LEGO standards, in my opinion the
model is holding together fairly well. Of course there are some weaker spots
here and there, but that's in almost every model.
Because the model is slightly bigger than the original, there is actually a lot
of air inside, At the end I had to do my very best to cover up the big empty
spaces with the few pieces I had left. So there should be space for some
motors...
I see that you are from Sweden. I recently moved to Sweden as well. Where about
are you situated?

It looks great in the pictures. I guess the creator of a work is often its
harshest critic. Im getting the feeling from things youve wrote that maybe
you arent working for LEGO anymore (?)

If its no trouble, Id be interested in a high-res exploded view :-)
(but I doubt that qualifies as no trouble)
I could just try to build it from the pictures you already have up there.
(although maybe one extra shot from underneath would help figure out the
internals... okay, no more pestering, Ill stop now)
Thanks...

I guess you are right with both. As the creator I know all the flaws of the
model. Its probably not as bad as it sounds and I have to say that the pictures
came out better than expected. And indeed Im not working at LEGO anymore. A new
challenge came on my path, something I just felt I had to give a try.

I'm in Eskilstuna (~1 hour from Stockholm). You're welcome to ping me if you
want to visit!
You're also welcome to lugnet.loc.se - it's not very active for the moment,
but there is talk about a Lego meet sometime after the summer. You would
definitely add to such an event.

Hi Anders!
That sounds great! If the get together is somewhere in the neighbourhood (I live
in Skövde now), I'm definitely interested. I'm originally from the Netherlands,
so I might have some difficulties understanding the Swedish forum, but I'm
learning though. ;-)
So it would be very much appreciated if you could keep me informed when there's
updates on this matter.

:-) My parents were born in Tibro and Hjo, so I'm quite acquainted with the
neighbourhood (Skövde is just two or three stops away on the railroad from
Eskilstuna).
What's your line of work? Why would a Netherlander stop in Skövde of all
places?
> I might have some difficulties understanding the Swedish forum
Just follow the "Träff till hösten" thread, dates will be understandable,
and if you post there we sure can stick to English.
