The Brick Testament website is pleased to
announce the completion of its illustration of the Book of Judges. The five new
stories added today now make Judges
the section of the site with the most illustrated stories, 39 of them in all,
and the second highest number of illustrations (435 compared to 568 in Genesis).
As you might be able to tell from the titles, these are some of the most lurid
stories in the entire Bible, so I’m going to go ahead and give a content warning
right up front: these stories contain nudity, sexual content, violence, and
cursing.

Nice installment, but I have to admit there’s not a lot of new ground here for
me to comment on.
Peaceful, unsuspecting people - Probably my favorite thing in this story is the
use of focused and unfocused areas of the photos in 7, 27, and 27-28.
Gang rape - Where’s the grumpy Levite face from? I’d also never seen the yellow
bottle (hmm, Peeron doesn’t have it, where’s that from?). I’m a little confused
as to the purpose of the brown technic piece in the background of some of the
scenes. I love the green/gray tiled floor in 21.
Massacre eachother - Once again, the DeCraemer-esque cliff wall in vs 47 is
outstanding.
Remorse - Nice incorporation of the new horn element (gotta get me some of
those) in the altar in the first pic. Nice transformation of the men at the
Rock of Rimmon between the previous story and this. Good face in the last pic
for the guy who got the “last one”.
Girls of Shiloh - In 21:23, the dancing is nice, and I really like the rock
wall.
