The Death of Socrates
Buddhas First Sermon
These are for a project that me and a few friends are building. It is called
History of Humanity and each scene is an important event from history. Well
try to cover everything major event between man-evolving-from-apes to the near
future (my rotating spacestation-spaceship thingee from BrickFest will be making
an appearance ;o) ).
My cohorts for the project are KK Quah and Robin Werner of GFLUG. Well be
presenting the complete project at Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney in
November.

PS. Cross to .vignette because of the detail-scene orientation of the creations.

This project is a great idea! I hope your display is a big success!

Still looking at that tree in there...

Hey Lenny,
These are awesome! My favorite details are the tree in the Buddha scene (how
sturdy is that, btw?) and the statues etc above the stairs in the Greek temple.
Im looking forward to seeing the further installments in this series.

The style of this piece is intantly reconisable, From the fantastic fresco work
above the temple (love the half turned torsos) to the Columed walkway to the
main temple. But by far and away my favorite detail is the scales of justice. I
can see a LOT of town courthouses and Train Layouts using this idea.

Very nice, Lenny. I agree with others that the tree and the fresco statues are
the highlights, but these are overall just very good scenes. I like how youve
outfitted Buddha with the cloaks and red rubber bands.
Looking forward to more in this series!
