Re: Chess Vignettes —Marc Nelson Jr.
(...) (URL) Pawn to rook four!> Good stuff, and the second one is especially clever. What a great use of posture to convey the action! The Rook covers while the Queen goes in for the kill; the White pieces are reeling in shock and defeat. (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

         Re: Chess Vignettes —Bruce Hietbrink
(...) Thanks, Marc. I'm glad the actual chess set-up is apparent. I played around with it for a bit to figure out a situation that could actually occur in a game (this presupposes that the king is up against the wall and that the rook was covered by (...)      (...) Ok, I thought the King and his companion were in their starting possitions...and It´s to often the King die without being moved. Nice combination with a great game and Lego. /Andréas Rootzén (19 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

        Re: Chess Vignettes —Nathan Todd
Great work as always Bruce, I especially like the 'large' (seems like an odd adjective to use in vignette context) park chess set! God Bless, Nathan (19 years ago, 17-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) Thanks, I've loved those ever since the first time I saw one in person when I traveled in Europe after college. It was fun to play around with different piece designs at that scale. Bruce (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
