another hillside moc in the italian countryside, this villa represents building
through the ages. the varied roof lines *might* bring to mind various
outbuildings that were brought together under one roof, so to speak. this roof
design was inspired by ideas from fellow lug member norbert black, who is also
responsible for the spectacular artwork that is the centrepiece of the moc - the
aquarium fitted into the wall dividing the living room and the indoor/outdoor
pool.
the living/dining area enjoys comfortable furniture set upon an italian glazed
tile floor. the broad, curvaceous staircase echoing the curved walls of the
front of the villa leads to the second living level and the latticed kitchen
ceiling, allowing the plants to thrive and decorate both areas simultaneously.
the villa is designed to maximize appreciation of the climate. arched walkways
and windows bring the outdoors inside as does the indoor/outdoor pool. large
open areas are scattered in the upper level to enjoy the pool, the view and the
breeze from the valley. poolside furniture sits on a balcony overlooking the
living area. the front stoned terrace overlooks the valley and is furnished to
enjoy the sun and the view.
sleeping accomodations are found off an enclosed corridor on the main level and
the master bedroom with ensuite is on the second level near the pool. a second
staircase joins the two sleeping quarters.
the moc itself is modular and sits upon a base that houses the regulator
controlling the lighting for the aquarium.

| Another masterpeice, as to be expected! Details I like from a first glance: The (URL) floor>, simple but effective. The (URL) pantile roof> I think this works well, possibly a bit overscale but the 'Lego eye' assimilates it OK. BTW have you seen (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
