Doraemon - he is one of the most famous ANIME character in Japan.
He is a cat-type robot and he comes from the future - 22th century.
Cat? Why he doesnt have ears? He was bitten his ears by a mouse!
He has a pouch on his tummy which can produce just about anything.
I put in plenty of time.
ProjectD was started on Nov, 2004.
Five months have passed, and finally this project is completed.
It also needs a huge quantity of bricks and plates, of course.

In this folder, you can see the process of my work by clicking Next button
which is the lower right screen.
The height is 129.3cm (4.2ft) as he is and the gross weight is estimated 50kg
(over 100lb).
Im going to exhibite this work for my high school festival on May 2 and 3.
Thank you.

Thats also why hes blue. He was originally yellow when he was
built (in the robot factory), but after the mice bit his ears off,
he cried too much and turned blue.... :)

I love the sculpture. Its pretty awesome. I remember seeing cartoons of
these after my cousins returned from Japan (my uncle and his family were
missionaries for 5 years) approximately 15 years ago.
Speaking of cartoons, my favorite episode was when Nobita went and started
Nobitaland almost the same as Strongbadia in the on-line animation Strong
bad.
Whats next? I hope Nobita or Doraemons little sis... :)

Its funny that when you build his head from top to bottom, the temporary
supports looks like his ears.

Yes, his tummy is SO cool.
One year ago, my husband showed me a different Doraemon LEGO model on a .jp
website. It had a drawer that opened. I never saw that model again. Have you
seen it?

Mitsui-San,
Omedeto! This is a beautiful sculpture. I have also been watching the progress
in various stages of building at brickshelf!
I have been very impressed with the solid state of the internal structure. And I
found the minifig skeletons walking on the internal frame very funny!
Great Work!
Cheers!
