Hi all,

Are you brave enough to try the Black Diamond slopes?

BTW, I’ve also added an index page to my site that links to all of my vignettes that are spread throughout various parts of my site.

LOL, one of my favourite movies. But then, *anything* with John Cusack is one of my favourite movies, actually.

Great vignette! Spotlighted. Seems like a bit of a mountain kick lately!

Mine, too. “Gee, Ricky, I’m sorry your mom blew up.”

As in “Say Anything”? I really like that one, and more recently “Runaway Jury”

is one of my favourite movies, actually.

Hey, very nice vig, Bruce.

Great looking mountain, just the right choice of fig heads, and nice job anchoring the skiing fig.

Thanks, Rev. I was happy with how that turned out. The guy at the top was a much bigger struggle. At first I tried to put his pole vertically in the hollow stud at the top of the 75degree slope, but to hold that he ended up hanging in space behind the cliff. I’n not 100% happy with the clip, but it does end up giving the proper placement to the fig.

Good work. Looks like a very perilous slope. I also like that you added some height to the base to give it that death defying feel. As others noted, innovative work on anchoring the figs.

Thanks. I put the height at the base mainly so I could get the extreme angle photo looking up.

Nice, and thanks for the index. Vignettes are really taking off!

Shouldn’t that slope be a double black diamond though???

Yep. When are we going to see one from you? :)

Hmm, I never got beyond the fluffy bunny slopes, myself, so I don’t know what distinguishes them. I’m not sure exactly how I’d make a double diamond in my space restrictions, though.

Certainly not till I get stateside! Plus I’ve never been one to get in on fads.

THAT slope is a double diamond. A diamond isn’t QUITE that clifflike!

Excellent sculpting, Bruce. I recognize that face at the top. I like the way you’ve used height.

You should. It’s the most useful vignette face.

Thanks for the kind words.

Bruce, I like how you kinda turned the whole vignette thing on it’s ear. Kinda like a breath of alpine air in the face of a limiting genre. I like the Vertigo inducing feeling you get from looking at it. Super fun to look at, although it might be a little tougher than a single black diamond! Jon
