  Pub 'n Shop

Batch 2. I tried to mix things up a little more this time with shape of the pub, making the L was fun and created an interesting roof line. Also with the little shop I had to get creative with my pieces to actually make a building in that light (...) (...) Both very nice. But the pub's shape, color, and the occasional darker grey really make this a great MOC. Your work makes me want to build! That's the best compliment I can give. Aaron S (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

Hey Jason, These are very nice buildings. I like the L shaped one the best. I especially like the stepped roof line. Do the buildings have interiors? If so, do they open up? Anyway, just wanted to say that they look good! Jon Furman (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

Hi Jason, I like both of these buildings especially the pub. Using the ell shape is creative. The white 2x2 windows and timber frame make the buildings seem to be on a minifig scale. Everything is very Furmanesque; my apologies Jon ;) These are (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

(...) Thank you very much. That really is a high compliment. Those occasional darker grey bricks were borrowed straight from Jon Furman's creations. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Thanks. I lucked out with that stepped roof line. It just sorta happened while I was building and I thought it looked pretty good, so I just went with it. I'm sorry to say that the buildings do not have interiors. I had very little time to (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Doing a corner building was a treat. The bricks really make a nice roof, now if we could only get those pieces straight from LEGO instead of Bricklink, we do lots more of those. (...) (...) I am very suprised at how small these buildings turned out. They seem plenty big next to the minifigs, but I compare them to my town creations and they seem puny. Still I will probably continue in the same scale... it makes my bricks go (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)
