I am very pleased to announce that the new Brick Testament book has officially
been released, and is now in stores nationwide:
Featuring an entirely new and never-before-seen illustrated version of one of
the Bibles most famous and beloved stories, this festive, handsomely-packaged
96-page hardcover book has more than 45 full-color, full-page photos, and tells
the story of the birth of Jesus as never seen before.
This book is being carried by most major and independent booksellers (Barnes &
Noble should have a particularly good supply), and is available online from
retaliers such as Amazon.com,
Walmart.com, Powells Books, and
Booksamillion.
The fisrt Brick Testament book sold
out a full two weeks before Christmas last year, so if youre interested in this
one, you may want to pick up your copies in advance of the Christmas rush.
Holiday Greetings!

I will be more than happy to autograph peoples copies of the book at the next
major LEGO event, which I imagine would be the next Brickfest on the West Coast
(in February?). If anybody would like a signed copy before Christmas, send me
an e-mail and we can probably figure something out (I could order from Amazon,
sign it, and then send it on to you).

Excellent!
Today I put up some randomly rotating adverts for the new book on the
front page of The Brick Testament website. If that
doesnt drive up sales, what will?
Actually Im told that my publisher will be advertising the book with free
postcards in the MaxRacks in New york City and
Philadelphia, and might be putting ads in the Village Voice and LA Weekly.
Go, book, go!

Here's an online store I came across whose page for The Story of Christmas
includes a look at a few sample pages:
http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=832&cat=327#
(Click the images to see larger versions in a pop-up window.)
While the book is basically a re-do of the "Jesus is Born" story from the Brick
Testament website, I think my building skillz increased significantly in the
three years since I originally did that story. The book is also an expanded
version of the story, and this page gives you a peek at some of the expanded
content and redone illustrations (though their photo of the book's cover doesn't
capture the festive metallic red and green embossed title!).
