Hey did anyone else notice that the compact view seems to take up more
space vertically this morning?  I have to scroll more.  Yuck!  I blame
the new rating system.  Bring back the old one!  ;-)

I think I know what might've happened.  Are you using Netscape Navigator?
NN has (long had, and still does, I believe) a bug where, if there is no
<BR> before a closing </TD>, it goofs up the leading on the line of text,
adding about 1/6 em of vertical space.  I took out the <BR>'s last night
thinking that if they all disappeared across the entire row, it wouldn't
hurt, and it didn't appear to cause a problem under NN4.x for Linux or MSIE5
for Win32, but I might as well put them back.

Actually I'm using IE5, and perhaps I'm just hallucinating, but that was
my first impression when I clicked on the "compact" link.
