I just looked at the Bionicle scan and it looks okay. I might get some, but if
the original Throwbots go on good clearance I will buy them instead. I don't
understand about collecting masks. Can you put the bionicle head on a minifig?
And why didn't TLC bring back the Islanders themselves? Kind of strange, but
I'm glad I recently got an Islanders Catamaran. Bionicle.com doesn't work yet.

Todd,
can you create a technic.slizer group to cover the themes
of Throwbots, Roboriders and Bionicle?
It seems that with Bionicle these sorts of figures are
here to stay, and they are different enough from everything
else to warrent their own newsgroup.
In a 2001 thread I asked what a good name would be, and at
least one other agreed that technic.slizer would be good.

I agree with Bill. Violence in a story isn't bad, per se. It's *celebrating
it* as an end in and of itself that's bad.
I hold with a philosophy that doesn't initiate violence but that doesn't
mean I'm against seeing it happen when it's necessary to make a point or to
move a story forward.
