Re: New style instructions, sets 8801 and 8802

(...) I think TLG have been listening. Inventories in instructions is something I've been asking for. I'm not sure how many more of us have been asking too. It's useful when you want to build the set again later because you can get a tray and select (...) (19 years ago, 5-Sep-05, to lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.general, lugnet.inst)

New style instructions, sets 8801 and 8802

Hi, I just bought set 65767, a Knights Kingdom combo consisting of sets 8801 (Attack over the sea) and 8802 (Vladek's Sea Fortress), and to my big surprise, the design of the instructions have been changed. The first pages of the instructions now (...) (19 years ago, 5-Sep-05, to lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.general, lugnet.inst)

New LEGO Store in Portland, OR

Yes! Finally! Now I get to be as poor as everybody else who lives within easy commuting distance of a LEGO Store. The Portland (Oregon) store just opened in Washington Square, near Meier & Frank, and it's very nice. I slipped in before it was (...)   New S&H catalog

I just received this the other day. Interesting. For those who say Bionicle isn't LEGO, there's three Bionicle sets that include regular bricks and slopes! Frank (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: The new dino attack

(...) Cool. Those dinosaurs are funky-looking... probably old news to most of you, but I hadn't seen them before. The raptor seems to only have four studs on the entire model, which isn't very LEGO-like -- OTOH, it does look quite cool. Anybody have (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.year.2005, FTX)

  Re: Super Mech-Bot

I have not completed the Super Mech Bot. I could not. I embarked on a different direction. I hope to re-create the essence of the Super Mech Bot sometime in the future. e (19 years ago, 12-Jun-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler Set #10144

(...) The model definitely has technic treads, and making them stay in place and still have wheels would be unnecessarily complicated. I'd put money on it being just a poor choice of words on that page. Wouldn't be the first time, after all. :) Jeff (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2005, FTX)

  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler Set #10144

(...) That's exactly the way I interpreted the description as well and the only reason I mentioned it. I specifically remember the phrase 'rides on wheels for smooth motion'. -Dave (19 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler Set #10144

(...) I think it has wheels under the tread assemblies, that's what the LEGO.com page makes it sound like, anyway. Kyle (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler Set #10144

(...) Are you sure about the wheels? It looks like 4 tread assemblies to me. (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2005)

  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler Set #10144

Very cool! Interesting detail that it has wheels, so the treads must be for show. I'm going to LOVE this set! I amy have to buy a couple just so I can keep one built. -Dave (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2005, FTX)
