When I started working on the computer game over a year ago, there was no "Alpha
Team" to speak of, in fact, the game was called something different entirely,
and the characters in the game were VERY different.

The idea at the time was that the characters and possibly some of the building
elements in the game would lead to "real" mini-figs and sets.  I left the
project in April of last year around the time that my design work was winding
down (I was not responsible for the character design, but DID come up with the
TV character).  Since then however, there were major changes made, dictated in
large part by further Lego focus group testing (from what I understand).  The TV
character I designed seems to have survived that process.

Bill Benecke was responsible for some of the coolest mini-fig character designs
early on and I assume he also had a hand in the final ones you see in "Alpha
Team"...

(...) TV" (...) <blink blink> Are you serious, or is this some kind of esoteric joke? If you *are* serious, I have a question for you: Does this imply that a certain amount of the Alhpa Team line was driven by the computer game? If so, how much? (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)
