  My Favourite 2001 Sets

6774 Alpha Team ATV You get the funny minifig with the big mouth, the other minifig with the shoulder-length red hair, and the sub is kind of neat. 6776 Ogel Command Centre Interesting return to Pirates, Time Twisters, and Trans-red! 7126 Battle (...) (25 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

Re: Color name for Statue of Liberty Sculpture #3450

Re: Star Wars part in Life on Mars set?

Well, actually 7159 (the Pod Bucket) also comes with these Battle Droid Elements used for a different function. And nearly everyone will admit that the 'thing' (it's no minifig) I am talking about looks totally crap. A new use of an element is not (...)   Re: Color name for Statue of Liberty Sculpture #3450

Webster is out of date - patina simply means a weathered and/or age-darkened finish to antiquers, and can apply to copper, bronze, nickel, wood, etc, etc, etc. Weathered GREEN would make the most sense, as people would instantly know it is a shade (...)   Re: Color name for Statue of Liberty Sculpture #3450

(...) verdigris, according to www.webster.com, can be greenish or bluish, and is only secondarily associated with copper. patina, again according to Webster, is exactly the name of greenish, weather-aged copper. (25 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

Re: here comes the next wave of 2001 sets...

(...) It looks like it will only be a Europian release. I say that because it was not in the NA catalog. I can only hope the Creator figs do not catch on to replace minifigs. That is all we need... Jude (25 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.general)

Re: here comes the next wave of 2001 sets...

(...) It will be like buying <set:4216 4216 "Circus"/"Animals on Parade"> just to get 3 yellow fence pieces. In favor of "Creator", some have a pile of unused pieces.
