  Re: A store front moc

(...) does have the flavor of a mexican-style building you'd see in a western. I really liked the way you used the angled facet bricks on the corners along with the arches - flows nicely. Also liked your use of the 4x4 round brown bricks as columns. (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.western)

(...) No, I've never been there, but I've always been fascinated by them. Then last year my sister's family went to Mesa Verde on vacation and showed me lots of pictures, which I suppose was the more immediate inspiration. Bruce (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Cliff Dwelling

(...) Nice! Good to see some posts in western. Well scaled down from the pics. Out of curiosity did you see the ruins and want to build them (as in personaly) or were you just looking on the web? God Bless, Nathan (another Cowboy and Castle fan) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.western)

(...) Looks great Bruce! I really like the look you created with the dwellings seemingly carved right out of the mountain side. Very nice. Nate (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.western)

  A store front moc

Hi, While working on a Medieval Marketplace I came up with this. It so reminded me of something you would see in a mexican/western movie I thought I'd post it here. (It will not appear in any castle village). Sorry about the bad pics (snapped (...) (22 years ago, 15-Nov-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: My new Outpost

(...) Thanks Bruce, The opening leads... nowhere (it's just a test MOC). Rest assured in a real effort it would go somewhere. The commander thing was just a take off on the Lego Redo (with a trademark waterfall to jaz it up). I wanted to do a lot of (...) (22 years ago, 1-Nov-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.castle)

  Re: My new Outpost

Nathan, Very nice! I like a lot of the daily life details like the barracks and mess hall. The waterfall opening is cool, too. Where does it lead? I did wonder a bit why the commander would want to be dropped into the river below. It's not the sort (...) (22 years ago, 31-Oct-02, to lugnet.western, lugnet.castle)
