I have put up some pictures of some new rolling stock on my site.

http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/rolling_stock/rolling_stock.htm

I made small modifications to my red box car. It is the correct length now, and
it has all of its ladders. I also made some modifications to my red flat bed
that is hauling the trailer. It is the correct length now, and I put some
ladders on it (I have not decided if they are staying).

One new car is a gray flat bed that is hauling a submersible (the one from the
Deep Reef Refuge). I thought about making some big I-beams, but I couldn't come
up with the parts to build any of the I-beam designs that I thought of. The
other day I saw the worlds most boring flat bed load. There were two flat beds
carrying sheet metal. The sheet metal was just liking on the car stacked up to a
height of a foot or so. Wouldn't that draw the oohs and ahs from a crowd.

Another new car is a refrigerated box car. It is just my 50' box car design
with some vents at one end and some fuel tanks. By the way, are there fuel tanks
on both sides, is there just one tank on one side, or is there one tank that
goes all the way across car?

I also added some pictures of my 40' black tank car.

I also added some QTVR objects to the site. There are now QTVR objects for

the SD40-2 (go to the bottom of this page
http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/engines/emd_sd40-2/emd_sd40-2.htm )

the red box car (go to the bottom of this page
http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/rolling_stock/red_50_box_car/50_box_car_page.htm )

the red flat bed (go to the bottom of this page
http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/rolling_stock/flat_bed_w_trailer/50_ft_flat_bed.htm )

a black 40' tank car (go to the bottom of this page
http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/rolling_stock/black_tank_car/black_tank_car_details_pag.htm )

and the caboose (the caboose one is old but it is at the bottom of this page
http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/cabeese/cabeese.htm ).

I also added a small section to display a few truck designs. The trucks are for
8-wides, and they are attempts at resembling (modeling would be to strong a
word) the 3 spring freight trucks that are so common here in the US. http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego/NOLTC/tech/technology.htm

Back to work,
Chris

(...) These modifications and additions are really nice. I really like how you contoured the tanker with the ladders. later, James Mathis (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)
