John,
Didn't you originally run this on HO track? In fact I thought you ran these on
an HO layout a train show?

Actually, I *tried* running my 14 wides on a G scale layout, but had severe
coupling issues (I had tried to make a half LEGO, half Kadee coupler and it
wasn't strong enough).  I have since purchased G scale trucks that come with arms
onto which couplers can be screwed, so that the coupling system is all non-LEGO
(Not very prototypical, but very practical:).  Haven't been to a train show since
to try them out, however....

I had only threatened to use the 4 wides-- will do for next show, whenever that
may be....

BTW how about N gauge 2 wides!

Well, that's my question..... would 2 wide be N or Z?  May have to take a 2x4 to
the local hobby store tomorrow:-)

Here are a few more pics of some of my 4 wides.  Notice the track on
which they sit-- it's gray ladders laid end to end.  The ladders work
great because they are *exactly* HO gauge (the trucks *are* HO).  It was
my son's idea, so I told him I'd post some pics to the group.

(...) to (...) A 2-wide would be N, I believe. Z is quite a bit smaller...1.5 wide-ish, I believe. I've only seen Z once...but its teeeeeny, I have an N set at home. -Tim (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)
