(...) You'd love the SkyTrain here in Vancouver, BC Canada. It's completely computer controlled. No staff. It's doors chime when they are about to close and if you hold them open it starts chiming more and more until it buzzes. heh heh. Dean (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Ya, save for the driver on the RT. I've been in the cab in fact, the day that the SRT opened. I have the first _fare paid_ transfer that was issued (at, IIRC 5.57 on the morning that the RT opened. I got to blow the horn, which is all the (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) No, not even that, driver had (this is 15 years ago now :) just a emergency stop button, and the horn button (which was a rased 2" diameter button or so, the stop was recessed). So, the driver is just along for the ride...kind of pointless if (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)
