I was up prettly late last night throwing together a couple of "fun" cars to
bring with me to the WAMALUG display tomorrow at the train show.
First I made a car that I call the "Harlequin", named after a VW Golf model of
a couple of years ago that had body panels painted in a whole bunch of
different colors. I wanted something that would sort of blend in, but would
be the equivalent to some of those stylized airliners that you see with the
crazy paint schemes.
Second, I threw together an open topped hopper car based on one I saw go by
the other day while I was stuck in beltway traffic. The most interesting
thing about this model is that the chute opening is framed by an old plate
that came with one of the old big black 4.5 volt motors that accepted a
technic axle or the wheels on the metal axles.
Check them out at:

in the railcars folder.
