Re: Santa Fe Super Chief Train Engine Registry

Hello Jean-Marc, the NGLTC site has been disabled for quite some time but I do have a back up of the registry, just don't have it hosted anywhere right now. (...) (9 years ago, 24-Aug-15, to lugnet.trains)

LEGO Trains, 4.5V, 12V and 9V Recent Discoveries and Images

OK... one of my recent projects in upgrading my 2800 page Unofficial LEGO Sets/Parts Collectors Guide to an expanded 3700 page guide (free to current owners of DVD or DVD download of the guide)... is expanding the train chapters (Blue Track 4.5 and (...) (9 years ago, 27-Apr-15, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) At our Swedish forums, www.swebrick.se there is a thread about controlling 8 standard Lego receivers (total of 16 control channels) with a custom IR sender. The receivers seem to be prepared for more channels than currently available from (...) (9 years ago, 24-Mar-15, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 20-Wide model of a Dutch train

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) I think you would have to have custom receivers using a different band (or protocol) to do that. Play well, Jacob (9 years ago, 11-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) Perhaps look into SBrick: https://www.sbrick.com/ It allows control of up to 64 outputs, and is an almost drop in replacement for LEGO controllers. Pretty expensive, but you could just get 3 or 4 and use IR for the rest. As long as you have (...) (9 years ago, 11-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) I usually put motor(s) on blue, and lights on red. So each channel controls one train. I'm mostly concerned with all the kids who bring "guest trains", I want to make sure they can run their trains without interfering with ours. JohnG, GMLTC (9 years ago, 10-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) But each channel has 2 separate controls, red & blue, so you can control up to 8 trains without resorting to modifications, as long as each only uses 1 output. ROSCO (9 years ago, 10-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

  Question for the electronics experts

Anyone know if it is possible to hack the Power Functions remotes & receivers to operate on a different 'band'? GMLTC is working on plans for our next club layout, and we might have seven operating loops. If we are running PF trains, we'll have some (...) (9 years ago, 3-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

  ME Models Custom Rails

As you may or may not be aware, ME Models has started a KickStarter campaign in order to further the development of not only metal rails for use with 9V systems, but also ABS plastic rails with additional curve radii.   Re: Exploring a new track radius

  Exploring a new track radius

Quite a few of us in the community have wanted a new track radius for a very very long time. When we were in the 9v era the argument against it given was the metal rails would be too expensive. Now that we are in the RC era and the track is plastic (...) (10 years ago, 19-Jan-14, to lugnet.trains)
