(via old school communications!)

Hi All,
Well got a lot done this weekend!  My son and I tried to carefully remove the
sheet rock from the exterior walls, I was hoping to rehang the same sheet rock.
It ended up like I imagianed, where it didn't come out that easy and not always
in one piece. Also it was both screwed and nailed (along the edges).  I picked
up a nail remover from Harbor Freight and we went at it. It was a bit stressful
to be taking my brand new house apart!  But a great time with my son, although
I'm sure he has a different opinion! :)

After the removal we then insulated with R-19.  Home Depot wants 2x the price
for R-21. I looked up the meaning of "R value" at Home Depot on my phone. Even
though I had heat transfer class 23 years ago I couldn't make a informed
decission.  Could have been that I didn't have my reading glasses with me and
trying to read Wikipedia on my phone was impossible; despite the Retina Display!
I need one of those steam punk flip up Fernal lenses! I chose the R-19 on price
along. I'd rather buy more LEGO! We darned our masks and gloves and old
sweatshirts and stuffed all the cavities.  After about 8 hrs of work over two
days we finished.

Oh yeah, I also installed two electrical boxes with 4 outlets each.  The wire
was already in the wall so it made it an easy choice.  The build room wall will
straddle these boxes so one box will end up in each of the rooms.  I also left a
couple coils in the wall so when I frame the build room wall I will pull in the
wire and add outlets there too.  I was thinking that I would have a couple more
boxes in each room on this wall at the standard height. In the layout room I'll
also add a couple boxes at ceiling height for drop ceiling lighting; if I get
that far!
