I seem to recall that use of differentials was explored in geared locomotives (such as Shay, Climax, and Heisler), and was abandoned because the differential caused power loss in curves. | Shaun, OK, I'm not a train guy and or even a moderately skilled Technic guy, but it's easy to see that this is officially ridiculously awesome.
