Vool track laying MOC!! It looks like it would be very much at home on any MoW work crew laying track. I have always liked mostly yellow for MoW equipment too (I’ve dabbled in MoW equipement using TLG’s Classic 9V stuff as a guide). And maybe you could convert this to all white white with thin red stripes if you want to represent the current Union Pacific vehicles being used (like the hi-rail trucks, etc.).

It strikes me as funny that Real Life is imitating model railroading since the railroads do lay track in pre-fab sections with ties already mounted (like flextrack) to track to speed up the process since time is money and any delay in the trains going through means lost revenue.

One minor nit-pick tho...the weeds growing along the right-of-way probably should not be so uniformly neat and tidy in a straight line equally spaced apart like that. Randomness would probably be more realistic if you’re so inclined. Other than that, this is a great job!!

STFS :^)

Hey train fans, My latest creation. A train that lays out track as it goes. (URL) See gallery for all pictures and movies> The principle is extremely simple: A pile of tracks slides on the previously layed out tracks, pushed in front of the train. (...)
