I have, a ten wheeler, but it uses a very similar setup to Cale's and uses
standard stud increments, so I doubt it'll be of much help to you.

You could always connect the first, third, and fifth wheels together using a rod
(all blind, I believe), as if you seperated all the wheels by half-stud
increments I believe the blind drivers will line up to each other on whole-stud
increments. Then it would be just a matter of adding in gears, chain, or a
pully system to syncronize them all.
