I've had these built for a while now but have been dragging my feet as far as
posting them. Some of you may have seen the Decapod and cars at BrickWorld
but if not I present them to you now.

The I1sa Dcapod (or Hippo as it was nicknamed for its fat boiler and rough
ride) was one of the standard freight steam engines for the Pennsylvania RR.
The Pennsy built 598 I1's and used them where ever brute power was needed.
#4483 is the only surviving Hippo and curently resides at
<http://www.trainweb.org/wnyrhs/ The Western New York Railway Historical
Society> in Hamburg, NY.

This model is capable of negotiating tight turns but gets tripped up on the s
curves of switches at any thing but a slow crawl. Some fetures include the

The X-54 class box cars were built to haul caned foods and other food stuffs.
The X-54's were the last 40 ft. box cars built by the PRR. #19103 has been
preserved at the <http://www.rrmuseumpa.org/about/roster/x54.htm Railroad
Museum of Pennsylvania>.

This one isn't a Pennsy car or even based on a real prototype. It's merely
inspired by other wooden refers. <http://www.frickcold.com/ Frick> is however
a real company specializing in refrigeration equipment.

Comments and questions are welcome.

Hey cale,
If I didn’t say it at Brickworld I’ll say it here. WOW!!!!!
Your work is truly inspirational. The amount of detail poured into all of your
train MOC's is fantastic and I love that you've included the history of the
prototypes as well.

Particularly with you steamer I really do appreciate the incorporation of drive
rods as so many people omit them even though they are the most important part of
the model.  The use of car tires as tanks under the cab is also a neat trick.

Oh hey, on the x54 boxcar could you post a few more photos of the door
mechanism. It looks like your using an internal slide but I can't quite figure
it out.
