    Automated shunter/switcher —Matija Puzar
So, I got this idea of making an automated shunter for our group's exhibition layout, it would be a nice eye catcher and a great oportunity for the big trains' motors to rest and cool off. In the simplest version, it would just come to a bunch of (...) (17 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) The one I always liked the best (can't find it right now... ah, here it is I think) was Gronk: (URL) not built it yet because I don't use LDCC or have an RCX on-board a train, but the idea is nice. And with those IR-controled Power Function (...) (17 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) the point. In that case, the idea is just fantastic! It might even be doable by using the DCC's lamp output for the motor. Thanks also to Chris, it does help knowing the right keywords (in this case, "decoupling") :) (...) It really depends on (...) (17 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Very quick work getting a working decoupler in such a tiny space. I thought you may have bitten off more than you could chew but it seems I've happily been proved wrong. Awesome. (...)         Re: Automated shunter/switcher —Jason J Railton
(...) I can't find any pictures right now, but I built a small steam shunting engine around a battery box and my own home-made IR receiver (this contains a circuit built from a kit from an electronics shop): (URL) the engine's coal wagon was this (...)
