Some of you may have seen a few of these MOCs at BrickFest 2006 or the NMRA National Train Show in Philly last year but I haven’t got around to posting them until now.

Pennsylvania Railroad K4s Pacific

This is a Pennsylvania Railroad K4s Pacific. This was my first serious attempt at a steam locomotive MOC of my own design. I’m happy to say that it can negotiate curves and points pretty well though uneven track can give it some problems. Modeling the trademark Pennsy Belpaire Firebox was difficult and I’m still not totaly happy with the result but I’ll live with it until I can come up with something better. The snot boiler replicates Pennsy’s fat boiler design fairly well I think.

Pennsylvania Railroad Class F41 Flatcar

This is just a standard PRR flat car. They are carrying a Frick steam traction engine, thresher, and tender. I’ll post mre on those when I get a chance to take some more photos. The only other standout feature is the snot work for the sides.

Pennsylvania Railroad NC5 Cabin Car

This is a PRR NC5 class Cabin Car (caboose for you non Pennsy fans). It features a detailed interior with opening doors and can even seat mini figs up in the coupola.

Pennsylvania Railroad E6s Atlantic

The E6s Atlantic was very similar to the K4s so it seemed like a good progression for my next steamer. I’m pretty happy overall with this one. I was able to make a lot of improvements in detail. The Bar Pilot design i’m quite fond of. This particular E6s powered the Lindbergh Special.

Pennsylvania Railroad H10-44 Fairbanks Morse Yard Switcher

The H10-44 is proving to be a popular model lately with Jeramy Spurgeon’s awesome version in Monon Colors. Mine has been a steady progression from a 6 wide model to this early version in Frisco colors to this Pennsy version. Notable features include a snot cab and accurately detailed Prime Mover Pic 1 Pic 2

Questions and comments are welcome.

(...) I love it! Nicely done Cale. I like the fact that you went to the trouble to accurately model the motor as well. Great attention to detail. I missed the Frisco version of this at the NMRA, but am glad that you revisited it with the (...) (17 years ago, 19-Feb-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
