Patience young grass hopper
I have tons of cool modifications planned for the new IR train products. I am
simply waiting for parts to show up on bricklink so I don’t have to buy complete
sets to modify the receiver.
Here’s the plans
-Install chip in a 4x8x 5 plate tall case. I’m still deciding on a tile or plate
top. A tile top would allow it to be located in a 4 wide engine such as TLC’s
gp-38
-Make the receiver eyes moveable so you can mount them where you wish. Exposed
would be a 2x2 black tile with the eye in the center.
-Create a power “IN” wire with a setup so polarity is a non-issue. This could be
used to provide power from the rails or a battery pack.
-Power out wire to go to IR train motor or other 9v Lego products.
Future ideas
-possibly move and change the color of the “power on” LED so that it can be used
as a headlight
-rechargeable battery packs and charger bases?
-additional channels?
-RC instead?
-loose my mind?
