Ideas+ Dreams about 9v and IR...

Hello everyone!

Just had a few ideas about the IR and 9v train situation:

1) What if we could still use the 9v controllers, motors, and track, but have
the 9v motors connected to modified IR recievers (or homebrew IR's), yet have
the 9v controllers be used as the master voltage controls for either layout
sections (modules), or a whole layout?

2) How about using the cheaper, all plastic rails, for track experiments (i.e.
switches, curve radii, and various gauges)?

3) When thinking and hoping on a logical plane, there's got to be some way for
us to "blend" the parts, concepts, etc. from the 9v and IR motors to create some
kind of sauve hybrid motor that could pickup 9v currents, utilize BBB wheels
(via axles) and still be remote controlled via IR (or possibly RC).

Anyways, that's all for now...

Thanks for listening!

(...) Patience young grass hopper I have tons of cool modifications planned for the new IR train products. I am simply waiting for parts to show up on bricklink so I don’t have to buy complete sets to modify the receiver. Here’s the plans -Install (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)
