Hey Dave-
Funny, Ross just built some buffers/bumper sensors 2 nights ago for the big
show in Philly (we are only bringing half of our layout, and ping-ponging the
mainlines). He was planning on testing them this weekend. Ill have to point
him your efforts! Thanks for sharing!

Hello all,
Im currently running a small layout in my basement using an LDCCed RCX with
automation provided by an RCX running NQC.
For the NQC program to know when a train has reached the end of the line, I
had to develop a bumper sensor. I remembered seeing some around here
somewhere, but was at a loss to find em last week, so I made my own--
MLCAD instructions--

Its pretty easy on basic parts, and doesnt require that much finesse to
build it. The train buffer doesnt seem to bind, and the touch sensor has
enough spring to it to push the bumper back out when the train departs. I
have 2 of them on my loop right now and they were flawless for every evening
this past week.
Thought Id share.
Oh, I didnt cross post my train vid from rtlT--
small version (8 meg)--
