Brown was out of the question for the real brick model.  I will make an Ldraw
file and render it in brown.  I am building in red and yellow.  I originally had
the grill in grey, but after looking at some photos I decided to make it the
same as the rest of the the body, red.

Thwarted by the color and part availability!  The Ldraw render should look
great, and the red and yellow just fine.

I have been thinking about how to build the front for a long time.  The nose is
mostly snot.  I am very hapy with the shape.

Indeed, a fine shape you found for the nose.  I like the use of the classic
windows on an older style train.

The model has shared trucks and runs well (fast).  I was excited and wanted to
post something even though it is not yet finished.  I will post more pictures
and Ldraw files as I completed them.

Great to hear it runs well.  The shrouded wheels look really nice.

(...) Tim, Thanks for the comments. The picture I posted is black and white to hide some of the off colored parts I have had to temporarily use. The real train under went a few changes in its' life, as most do. I am trying to model it as delivered - (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)
