  Re: A french BB 62400

Hello, (...) To complement on the SNOT techniques used in this BB62400, the bicolor version led to interesting challenges especially to render both bicolor ends of the locomotive in 4 studs width. After three different versions I ended-up with a (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Two British 37s - and another soon!

(...) IIRC there are at least two liveries for the red and yellow EWS. One which has a sort of jagged stripe (like you see on the 66's). I really liked the BR one as it is a brand spanking new paintjob and the colours are almost exactly Lego ones (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Samsonite 118 Train set

I just posted the 1968 FAO Schwarz catalog here: (URL) the Samsonite 118 train which has always been something of a mystery. Here's what the instructions look like: (URL) also contains the 223 Adventure set which was a nice find. Enjoy, Eric (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

Re: TCLTC's version of Mathis Club Trolley

(...) Killer Trolley John... Guess I’ll have to build a Tampa TECO Street Car now. And Larry was nice enough take all kinds of images of it last time he was in town and share them with me:) Build on... Robin Werner GFLTC (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: TCLTC's version of Mathis Club Trolley

(...) Ha! Remember: it is a James Mathis design. Although we lengthened it a bit, we resisted the urge to widen it:-) I just got the final few elements needed to complete it, so I'll have to shoot some final pics... JOHN (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: ILTCO at the National NMRA convention in Cincinnati, July 2005

(...) Yep, and for those not making it to NMRA, we've had a request for it to be on the train layout at Brickfest. With the announcement of a challenge/competition over at Brickfest, we're definitely wanting to bring it now! (19 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Two British 37s - and another soon!

(...) There are quite a few liveries of Class 37s. I've just completed one in Railfreight grey with red stripe, based on this: (URL) With this livery the roof colour varies between locos - I've done mine in black. I hope to post some pictures soon.   Re: A french BB 62400

(...) I also faced some challenges and decided to use the old style railings, although no yellow-grey engines ever had the short style ;) See (URL) for a detail shot of the short nose. (19 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: A french BB 62400

Hello all, (...) Again great feedbacks from many persons, thanks to you all. This discussion improves a lot how I can do with buiding MOCs. John, I surely like to build in 6 wide, I also went to look into 7 wide. But for 8 wide, I have a major (...) (19 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: ILTCO at the National NMRA convention in Cincinnati, July 2005

(...) ... (...) Dang. I wish I'd known about this a month or two ago; I would have flown out to Cincinnati just to see it. Would you expect this to be an annual event? Thanks, - Joe (19 years ago, 3-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: ILTCO at the National NMRA convention in Cincinnati, July 2005

(...) Sorry to be a little grumpy here, but this doesn't match what's written on the ILTCO Page. (URL) example it says July 9, 6PM tear-down. Implying no show on Sunday.
