Well, I guess I couldn’t resist the Barney Urge-- guess that’s because I have a 7 week old baby in the house ;-)

Ross and my version is 99% complete-- we are just waiting on a few parts, maybe I can post a few teasers pics. Basically, it’s all white; I was planning on printing all of the LTC logos attending the NMRA show in Cincy on the sides. To make room for them, I placed the train rail bar plates directly under the windows. I also, ahem, took the liberty of extending the length of the trolley by 1 window (4 studs). I wanted more distance between the trucks, and it also gave me more logo space per side. Sorry for messing with the design so blatantly:-/

I was just thinking about lengthening this trolley by 4 studs, as well. The v7 trolley now uses the standard black 6x24 train baseplate from all the Build Your Train sets that we all must have stock-piled ;-) The roof windows get a little assymmetric at first-go, but we’ll see.

As I rendered all the club logos individually, I thought that one big bill-board with all the club logos would be nice.

v7 trolley does have a headlamp built-in. I don’t know if the 2x2 electric connector brick will fit on the 9v motor beneath the 6x24 standard train baseplate or not-- another reason to go to the 6x28 train baseplate. I do like built-up bases from plates and technic plates, but I was trying to cut the piece-count and use a part that may be more common that Technic plates. ??

John and Ross, you guys, and everyone else, please, please, feel free to mess with the design as blatantly as you wish!

later,

James Mathis
