Well, what's distinct about the trains themselves? There's been some good
comments so far but here's some more...
-Two axle freight cars
-Electric propulsion vs Diesel-Electric
-Brighter colours
-Advanced technology, eg, TGV, ICE.
Overall?
-Much higher investment in rail transport
-Larger integration of railways with economy and society
-Higher density of rail networks and infrastructure
But I can't put my finger on what I really like about it.
