  Re: clip on train motor

(...) Sure thing - you should glue it back on to take advantage of the full functionality, but it's not critical per se. I've used superglue on a couple of mine, when some used motors' clips split away from the main body of the motor. That (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Redesigned mini train wheel (!)

(...) Sweet! Now I have an excuse to pick up some 4855s on discount. I have some badly squeaking wheels on my MOWs that cause much cringing at train shows. Thanks for the tip, Rick. Ed (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Space Exploration Monorail

My first foray into Space (URL) all I have to do is locate all the parts to build it. (Well its a train, and uses HiTech control units, and a few Technic parts, so the cross-postings seem vaguely relevant) William (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Track Side Power Polls.

The SPLTC has used something similar in the past (URL) (located along the lower edge of the picture - ours were without the transformer, which is a nice touch BTW) and the scale looked fine. Ray SPLTC www.SPLTC.org (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Track side power polls.

(...) Why don't we take a poll? We could call it a "pole poll"! I think that real poles tend to be about the size of a person's head, and thus 1x1 rounds are a bit too small and 2x2 rounds a bit too big, and minifig heads a bit too wavy (it waves in (...)   Re: Track side power polls.

(...) I am not sure if its too thick. But maybe we just make are Utility polls bigger in the North West. ;) What do other people think? Dave www.GPLR.org (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: O-Train

(...) Ah yes, good points. I just threw together a small test loop with some intentional grades (2 plate per track slope) and some uneven transitions (pieces of cardboard under the track). The couplings seemed to perform well, but then I probably (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Track side power polls.

(...) Hey Dave, it'd make a great telephone poll too! I like the detailing, but IMO its too thick for fig scale. Have you considered using technic/system rods instead? Thanks! Legoswami (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

How to do Long Wheelbase 4-Wheel Wagons with Turning Wheels

I have some long wheelbase wagons (8x32) with four wheels, which turn on the curves. Here's a new pic of how it's done: (URL) This is the wagon the right way up: (URL) On the lower wagon in the underside picture, which goes last in the train, the (...)   Track side power polls.
