Hi All,
I am so excited about Model Railroader Magazine that I had to post this!(1) I
know it sound a bit corny but the amount of high quality color photos of both
trains and scenes has really increased in the last year. I find myself
constantly flipping thru each issue all month long only tiring of it a few days
before the next one shows up! The amount of inspiration I get from MR is
incredible. The Bumble Bee and the Turtle Creek are two recent examples. And I
have tons of post-its in the pages for future projects that I hope I get to!
There are also tons of articles about DCC, layout construction, rolling stock,
etc. that are really interesting and in many ways salient to L-gauge!
I just got off the phone with Model Railroader Magazine and tried to get an
ILTCO discount etc. but to no avail, I did however discover that there is a
standing "new" subscription rate that is really reasonable! You have to call
them at 800-533-6644 and press 1. Then make sure you ask for the intro rate of
$29.99 for the first year ($2.50/issue), it is normally $39.99 per year.
Well, happy reading and the centerfolds are amazing! But I just get it to read
the articles! ;)

(1) I have not received and compensation for this little advert nor does anyone
I know or related too work for MR! :D

| (...) <snipped> (...) I have to agree. I've been too cheap to subscribe, but I'v been buying back issues for $.50 to a buck each at the local train shop. Also try train swap meets. Mat (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
