Putting one of these under a track could easily sense when a train was
passing over, plus it wouldn’t be as bulky and conspicuous as a light sensor
setup usually is.
Just thought I’d pass this info along. I’d buy one for myself, but I’m a
purist. At least it looks like a real LEGO sensor. Now, if only LEGO would
make one, too! The site has some other cool custom electrical parts, so check
them out.

Not being a purist, I ordered 5 of their magnetic sensor kits together with 20
of the short electric cables a while ago. The package that arrived contained the
5 magnetic sensors but only 6 of the electric cables.
So I e-mailed them about the discrepancy of the electric cables but did not
receive a reply. Repeat e-mails have also gone unanswered despite their claim
“You get an answer to your email within 30 MINUTES*.”
I hope this episode will be resolved satisfactorily. But meanwhile, I thought
I’d pass this info along.
