Not sure, but you can purchase the copper tape untinned as well.

I'd thought of this. Scince I already plan to make solid metal wheels, I was
thinking of drilling the center wheel larger on one side, and using an
insulating insert. And adding a wiper behind the wheel. The metal wheel that I'm
having made will be filled on the back, it's easier, and makes it more wiper
friendly.

Short of casting the wheels in metal, the German style flange seems the way to
go. See the ealier thread below. Although you could mix some of my solid wheels
in as leed or following wheels.
