I remeber reading an article in the British magazine Model Railway Constructor about the production of the Thomas the Tank Engine series. My dad still has the magazine so next time I visit I’ll see if I can scan you a copy. The model were Gauge 1 and radio controlled, with the faces also radio controlled.

Cool! That would be excellent, Tim! Funny, one can’t really even gauge scale from having seen the videos (I personally thought that they were closer to LEGO scale), but gauge 1 is larger.

I actually own a gauge 1 Thomas (and James), although they are really cheap. I have always wanted to kitbash them and use the wheels and create LEGO versions of them. I think some day I will....
