My family recently upgraded to Comcast Digital Service. Comcast offers a
service called. On Demand. It is a library of recent cable programming that
you can view at any time. You can also pause, rewind, fast forward, etc.
So we clicked into On Demand > Kids & Teens > PBS and they have two 1/2 hour
segments of Thomas the Train running.
This thrilled my 4 year old daughter and we watch together frequently.

My kids (especially my son, Ross) LOVED watching the Thomas videos growing up
(we bought them all, and have even repurchased some on DVD:-) Just for fun, I
still scream Choo-choo! when passing a train while driving with my (now
teen-age) kids as Ross used to do when he was about 3 years old:-)

Funny
thing is I find myself wanting to view it again later to sketch out some of
the train yard structure designs in Lego. There are some neat building ideas
in that show.

I was more than happy to sit and watch the videos with the kids, because they
are so cool, WRT to the set designs and all. Id really love to see a video
come out that goes behind the scenes in filming those videos-- to see the sets
and all. You are right about being inspirations-- they inspired me to create
elaborate backdrops for our LEGO trains...
And Ill tell you, a LEGO Thomas (& friends) are always the highlight for
young children at train shows. Really, no LTC should show without one...
peep peep!
