Since you have already committed to using half-rounds for your curves on the
roof, I would suggest staying with half-rounds and using them for the front
as well, kind of like what I did here for my Hiawatha:

Nice rendition of the Hiawatha.  Yeah, I had thought about doing that, but I
could never figure out how to make the windows look right.  I tried clear
macaroni, but those are too sharp of a curve.  Any suggestions?
