========================================
EVENT - AdeLUG's #5, Sunday 10 November 2002
THEME - Moonbase Project
VENUE - Holdfast Bay Community Centre, Hove (about 20mins South/West of
Adelaide).
IN ATTENDANCE - Don Lee, John Porter, Tom Williams, Barry White, Ben
Westwood, Carl Watson, Caja & Ta'Ziyah Watson.

AUTHOR - Carl Watson
HAPPENINGS - We started arriving from 11:00am & setting up. We had tables
set up in the middle of the room.

John & Tom set up their trains (9v & 12v). Barry set up his MOC's
(Town/Asian). Don had a big box of Technic that he had just bought a few
hours earlier from the Trash & Treasure Market. I had my kids with me, so I
set up a Duplo train layout for my daughter (3&1/2). My Son (9mths) got sick
of sitting in his pram, so I put him on the floor. He had a great time
crawling under the tables, laughing every time he got to the other side.

After we had brought everything in, we decided to connect up our moonbases.
Don had built 2 (Command Centre & Leisure Centre), Tom (Living Quarters?)had
built 1 & I had built 2(Connection Corridors & Light Air Transit Module).
They looked great when they were all connected together.

I took my kids to the babysitter's at 1:00pm & everyone had some lunch.
After lunch Barry & I started setting up for the Brik Wars (castle). Brik
Wars was new for all of us (except Barry & I had had one practice game), and
we thoroughly enjoyed it. Barry & Don's villagers eventually were succesfull
in there uprising against Carl, John & Tom's Royal Knights.

After Brik Wars, Don sat down to build one of his Technic sets. John & Tom
changed the layout for the trains, I took some pictures & video of the
layout. I also took some pictures of my Fabuland. John then went to pick up
the pizza & Barry went home. The rest of us started packing up. After tea,
we finished packing up & went home around 7:30pm.
