| | | We have been experimenting with an external bridge rectifier for our Rail Racer events. The only drawback is that the one we picked out (lack of electronics experience) draws 1.5 volts away from the output going to the track. Not a big fairness (...) | | | | (...) You probably used one with regular diodes, where each diode gives a 0.7 voltage drop, which is standard. You could try Skottky diodes which IIRC give a 0.3 voltage drop each, leaving you with 8.4v. Other way would be to use some transistors (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)
