In 1999, these hoses seem to be replaces with some cheesy looking rubber
"axles". I haven't had them in my hands yet, but they don't look to
good, IMO.
I like the sloped plates in the smallish loco. Don't know anything
about real life accuracy, though, but it looks cool to me.
I think it makes perfect sense to crosspost articles like this to
lugnet.build, and not post them exclusively to lugnet.trains.
