  New Shorter Metrorail

The Wamalug show last weekend saw the debut of the new shortened metrorail car. I deleted one of the mid sections to make the car more managable. The new version is just uner 40 studs in length: (URL) the original, full length version: (URL) nice (...) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Nights at BricksWest

(...) I'm starting to think about what to actually bring. I plan on bringing some 12v stuff, but I'm wondering if anyone will have 12v transformers so I can avoid bringing them. Assuming I am the only one bringing 12v stuff, I would like to bring at (...) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.events.brickswest)

  Re: Surprise, new train set

I know that this is only art, but the banner on the LEGO trains site has had a image of a train of F7/F9 looks for a while. (URL) been hoping to see one rendered in LEGO since they launched the trains section. -chris (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

<snip> (...) uuum, yup, but then, I KINDA did research, but not as much as I should have eh!? I guess a Model Catalog isn't enough these days! (...) Yups, I see that now, thanks Lar! Josh (Who really likes BNSFmore ;-)) (23 years ago, 11-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Thanks, and a question (Used to be: How did James Mathis make his tilting trains?)

(...) To be more clear: is there anybody out there that might display some of my pictures on their Brickshelf account or their website? Right now, I only have my tilting APT cab,and I only have a Lego mindstorms cam, but more cars will come and my (...) (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

RE: Tilting trains (Used to be: how did James Mathis make his tilting trains?)

Rhendrix wrtes: (...) Centrifugal force doesn't actually exist, it's an imaginary force felt in a rotating system. Consider an elevator accelerating upwards. The extra acceleration makes you feel heavier. It's as if there's an extra force besides (...) (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks alot! Cool wagons. Once I get a place to show off my pictures, I might be able to show some of my own models. John Henry kruer (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Tilting trains (Used to be: how did James Mathis make his tilting trains?)

I thought scientists disproved the whole "centrifugal force" thing years ago? And decided that centripital force would take its place... -Rob "James Mathis" <thakius@nmt.edu> wrote in message news:GrAuvL.Aw8@lugnet.com... (...) (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Surprise, new train set

(...) OK. So you were just asserting, then, without any research behind it? Thanks for clarifying that point. Warbonnet is a shape. Think about the traditional "warbonnet" headdress of the plains Indians and you'll see why it's a shape rather than a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re:...tilting trains? / Eric Brok did it like this

Re: How did James Mathis make his tilting trains?

(...) I've been trying to make a tilting system for my own APT cab, and I've simply used a tilting bogie plate and rubber bands. The train tilts well, it dosn't tilt to much ect. But when I run it on straight track, it will always lean to one side. (...) (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)
