Hello all,
This is the first time i have posted to Lego Trains and hope someone out
there can help me. I have recently purchased a very large tain set
consisting of 3 7740 sets 2 what appear to be red transport engines and
several cargo trains and my problem is the grey rubber wheel sleeves that
stop the train spining the ones on my trains are worn and i need to replace
them but cannot find them anywere, even Lego themselves no longer stock
them, can anyone help me with ideas on what i can use instead.
I THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE.

Dear Craig,

I got a tip (see below) from Pascal Breard from France a few weeks ago. It's
about his experiences with bicycle tube and it sounded very interesing to me,
but I still have not tested it myself.

Kind Regards,

Ben

P.s.: Congrats! Getting 3x 7740 is like winning in a lottery

Takea bicycles inner tube ( the smaller one for race bicycle...), and cut it
every 4 mm...
It works very good, it's cheaper than lego belts, and works longer...

Here is the exact ref of the rubbers (inner tube of a bicycle tire), i have
used for my train :

HUTCHINSON 700x18-20-23 VF 53mm (course bicycle...)
